Our Story & Mission

Built in Kenya,
Built for African Schools

Tiptons Analytics was founded with a single, clear purpose: to give every school in Kenya — from a rural primary school to a multi-campus private institution — the same quality of management tools that international schools take for granted. We are a proudly Kenyan technology company building software that understands the realities of education in East Africa.

Our Story

Started With a Problem
Every Kenyan School Faced

Founded 2019 Nairobi, Kenya Proudly African

Tiptons Analytics was born out of a simple observation: Kenyan school administrators were spending hours every day on tasks that should take minutes — manually entering fee payments from M-Pesa confirmation SMSes, maintaining paper attendance registers, printing and distributing report cards term after term. The tools available were either too expensive, designed for Western markets, or simply not built for the realities of CBC, M-Pesa, and multi-stream Kenyan schools.

We set out to build a school management system from the ground up — one that would natively support M-Pesa, CBC, the Kenyan school calendar, KNEC exam reporting, and the way Kenyan parents and teachers actually communicate. Six years on, we serve over 500 schools across Kenya and continue expanding across East Africa, always guided by the feedback of the school communities that depend on us daily.

Built for Kenya — native M-Pesa integration, CBC curriculum support, Kenyan school calendar, and KNEC-aligned reporting from day one.
Community-driven development — every major feature we have built was requested by a real school administrator or teacher in our network.
Affordable for all school sizes — pricing designed for Kenyan budgets, from single-stream primary schools to large multi-campus institutions.

What Drives Us

Mission, Vision & Values

Everything we build, every decision we make, and every school we onboard is guided by three foundational principles.

Our Mission
Simplify School Management Across Africa
To empower every school in Kenya and East Africa with affordable, reliable, and easy-to-use management tools — so that administrators can spend less time on paperwork and more time on education. We believe technology should remove barriers, not create new ones.
Our Vision
The Operating System for African Education
To become the foundational management platform for schools across the African continent — a single, unified system that connects every school, administrator, teacher, parent, and student, creating a data-rich ecosystem that improves educational outcomes continent-wide.
Our Values
Reliability, Simplicity & Partnership
Schools depend on us every single day — so reliability is non-negotiable. We build software that is simple enough for a first-time user to master in minutes, and we treat every school as a long-term partner, not just a subscription. Their success is our success.

Why Choose Tiptons Analytics

What Makes Us
Different from the Rest

Kenya-First Design No Hidden Fees Free Onboarding Local Support Team

There are many school management systems in the market — most of them built for American or European schools and awkwardly adapted for Kenya. Tiptons Analytics was built here, for here. That means every design decision — from M-Pesa being the primary payment method to CBC being the default curriculum — reflects how Kenyan schools actually work.

Local support team — our support team is based in Nairobi and responds during Kenyan business hours, in English and Kiswahili.
Free setup & onboarding — we migrate your existing data, train your staff, and stay until you are confident — at no extra cost.
No long-term contracts — pay monthly, cancel anytime. We earn your renewal every single month by being indispensable.
Transparent pricing — what you see on the pricing page is what you pay. No setup fees, no per-SMS surcharges hidden in small print.
30-day money-back guarantee — if Tiptons Analytics does not deliver value in the first 30 days, we refund you. No questions asked.

Our Core Values

The Principles That Guide
Everything We Build

01
Reliability First
Schools depend on us every day. We build for 99.9% uptime with daily backups and zero-tolerance for data loss. When schools are open, Tiptons must be open.
02
Radical Simplicity
Our software must be usable by a first-time computer user and a tech-savvy administrator alike. Complexity is a bug, not a feature. If it takes more than 3 steps, we redesign it.
03
Schools Are Partners
We don't have customers — we have partners. We invest in every school's success because when they grow, we grow. Long-term relationships matter more than short-term revenue.
04
Africa-First Design
Our decisions are made for African realities — mobile-first access, M-Pesa-native payments, low-bandwidth optimisation, and support for local curricula and languages.
05
Continuous Improvement
Every month we ship improvements. Every improvement comes from a real school's feedback. We are never "done" — we are always listening, iterating, and getting better.
06
Data Security & Privacy
Student and staff data is sacred. We use 256-bit SSL encryption, role-based access controls, and regular security audits to ensure that school data is always protected.
